Hi, I'm Kristina Elyse Butke: author, playwright and composer.

Kristina Elyse Butke's Bio:

Kristina Elyse Butke is originally from Flushing, Queens but grew up in Ohio. For most of her life she’s been a playwright but has since pursued her lifelong dream to write fiction. She was an adjunct instructor for the English department at North Central State College and has presented writing panels at conventions such ColossalconOhayocon, and Matsuricon.

She has a BA in English Literature from Capital University and has written theatrical productions for the Ohio State University, including a full-length musical (Melancholia) for which she wrote the book, music, and lyrics. She also studied abroad in Wales at Trinity St. David's (Carmarthen) for a semester as an undergraduate at Capital. She later graduated from Seton Hill University with an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction, and her genres of choice are fantasy and horror. Her graduate thesis, The Name and the Key, is her first novel; she’s also at work on the companion novel The Step and the Walk along with a variety of other projects.

Kristina currently lives in Japan as an assistant language teacher for the Kumamoto Prefectural Board of Education.
